R/Cst Gillian Bryson and Deputy Chief Derren Lench

2017 VicPD & CSPS Reserve Class

The newest member of the Central Saanich Police Reserve Program was sworn in this month after graduating with her fellow VicPD colleagues. Gillian Bryson began her training in the fall of 2016, which involved hundreds of hours of classroom work over a four month period, acquiring skills and knowledge in the area of Legal Studies, Use of Force, Patrol and traffic duties. Many Reserve Constables join the program as part of their process in moving towards a career in law enforcement. Two of Central Saanich Reserve Constables have joined departments in Victoria over the past two years. CSPS often partners with other regional police agencies to enable training opportunities such as this and we would like to extend our appreciation to VicPD!

Central Saanich Police anticipates accepting applications for the position of Reserve Constable in the spring of 2017. Check the website for updates at http://cspolice.ca/
