A 21-year-old male escaped injury after a single-vehicle rollover accident on Wallace Drive last evening (October 26, 2017).

At 8:55 pm, multiple 9-1-1 calls were received reporting a vehicle crash on Wallace Drive at Hagan Rd in Central Saanich. When police arrived the lone driver was located standing on the sidewalk with only minor abrasions. The investigation revealed that the driver was travelling southbound on Wallace Drive in his red 2015 Dodge pick-up truck when he attempted to pass two vehicles at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the truck and slammed into a rock face before rolling over several times. He managed to free himself from the extensively damaged vehicle.

The driver was served a 3-Day Immediate Roadside Suspension (IRP), 3-Day Vehicle Impound and a Violation Ticket for Drive Without Due Care and Drive Contrary to restrictions (No blood alcohol). He was treated by paramedics and released at the scene.
