Dan CottinghamJune 16, 2017UncategorizedComments are off for this post Property Seize from Residence Central Saanich Police Service – Media ReleaseOn June 13, 2017, members of the Central Saanich Police Service and the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team (GVERT) executed a search warrant on a residence in the 7200 block of Veyaness Rd. A substantial amount of drugs (Cocaine and Marijuana) along with several edged weapons and replica firearms were seized. One adult male and two adult females were arrested and later released on Promise to Appears and Undertakings with strict conditions. Drug and weapons related charges will be forwarded to Crown for review and approval. This search warrant was a result of a lengthy investigation involving members of our Service and other partner agencies.“The Central Saanich Police Service is concerned when drug trafficking occurs within the community and are acutely aware of the risk to the public as a result of these drugs. This is even more of a concern given the current opioid crisis across the country and within our region. We will continue to target all residences being utilized for the purpose of selling drugs”, stated Deputy Chief Derren Lench.
