Message from the Chief Constable - March 2021

Dear Community,

We are well into 2021 and continue to work through the challenges presented to us with the COVID-19 pandemic. The Central Saanich Police Service continues to be very appreciative of the strong support that we have received from you and will continue to provide the best service we can to keep our community safe.

Our top priorities for 2021 will be the renewal of our strategic plan that will guide our activities for the next five years. We will continue our commitment to be engaged with you and ensure issues such as road safety, property crime and maintaining an innovative police service are upheld.

The Central Saanich Police Service received a second electric vehicle this year as part of its commitment to the District’s Climate Leadership Plan to reduce our carbon footprint. We have embarked on a plan to modernize our Service through Diversity and Inclusion activities as well as implementing technology to improve efficiencies to serve you better.

Deputy Chief Hackett started his new role in February and we are excited to have his leadership join our team.

Our Strength in Community comes from you and we want to hear from you on what we are doing well or what we can do to improve our service to you. We are always looking at COVID friendly ways to reach out to you whether, through another Community Forum or online with the goal to connect with you to discuss our approach to public safety and answer any questions you may have for us.
