Message from the Chief Constable - October 2020

Dear Community,

As we enter the Fall season, it provides us time to reflect on the last eight months and the challenges we have all faced during COVID-19 pandemic. The Central Saanich Police Service is very appreciative of the strong support we have received from you and will continue to provide the best service we can to keep our community safe.

One of our top priorities over the winter months will be the renewal of our strategic plan that will guide our activities for the next five years. We will continue our commitment to be engaged with you and ensure issues such as road safety, property crime and maintaining an innovative police service are upheld.

The Central Saanich Police Service received it's first electric vehicle this year and is dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint in keeping with the District’s Climate Leadership Plan. We will also look at opportunities to use technology to improve our services to you by reducing travel to our station to receive services such as permits, criminal records checks or information.

Our Strength in Community comes from you and we want to hear from you on what we are doing well or what we can do to improve our service to you. We will be hosting another Community Forum soon and hope you can join us and send us your questions!

Sincerely,

Ian Lawson
