The Central Saanich Police Board is made up of a progressive and community-minded group of Board members. The Board strives to maintain a bias-free and approachable Service to ensure that the needs of the community are continually being met and exceeded.
The Police Board consists of five members, including the Mayor of Central Saanich as the Board Chair, as well as one person appointed by the Central Saanich Council, and four members appointed by the Lieutenant Governor. The role of the Police Board is to provide general oversight on governance, budgetary control and policy direction for the Service. In addition, the Police Board is the employer of the Chief Constable, and the sworn and civilian members of the Service.
Police Board meetings are are open to the public and are held in the District of Central Saanich Council Chambers on the second Thursday of each month (excluding July and August). Meetings begin at 4:00pm. Please join us - we value your input!
