Katie CharltonFebruary 1, 2019UncategorizedComments are off for this post February 1, 2019: A 28 year old Central Saanich man has been arrested and $50,000 worth of drugs and $35,000 in cash seized. Yesterday, just after 1 pm, Central Saanich Police, with the help of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a home in the 1500 block of Keating Cross Road. Officers found cocaine, methamphetamine, MDMA (ecstasy), Xanax, psilocybin (magic mushrooms), oxycodone, morphine and LSD (acid) along with the cash. A 2015 Mercedes worth approximately $50,000 was also seized. Police are recommending a charge of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. “Our police service carried out a thorough investigation upon receiving information from the public on drug trafficking within our community”, said Deputy Chief Derren Lench. “We share the concerns of the citizens we serve regarding the dangers of drugs being sold.
