Central Saanich, BC – On February 3, 2026, Charrybelle TALAUE was sentenced to 115 days in jail (with credit applied for pre-sentence custody) after pleading to 5 counts of: forgery (x1); identity fraud (x2); and fraud (x2).
Charrybelle TALAUE, who was charged in 2024 with multiple counts of fraud, forgery, and personation after misrepresenting herself as a registered nurse. The offences are believed to have begun in December 2023 and occurred across the Capital Regional District. As the investigation unfolded, CSPS detectives extended their efforts into Alberta. Collaboration with law enforcement there resulted in additional charges laid against TALAUE in that province.
While awaiting trial, TALAUE fled the jurisdiction, prompting the issuance of arrest warrants. She was subsequently located in Idaho, U.S., by CSPS detectives. With the cooperation of Federal and U.S. partners, TALAUE was taken into custody and returned to Canada where she was remanded in custody.
